Me & Dean Going to Jerusalem

Today I’m taking Dean on a special day trip, just he and I, to Jerusalem. I took just Tomer while you were sick – remember? So now it’s Dean’s turn. We talked about what he’ll write in his note to put in the Wall.

He said he’s going to write 2 notes. he didn't want to say at first what he'd write, but I was curious so I told him he could tell me – it’s not like wishes over birthday candles that won't come true if you tell. maybe i shouldn't have said that. I also told him it’s a direct line from you to God, so speak straight from the heart. So he said that the first note would be “I wish my dad was alive.” And the second note would be “Thank you for giving us our dad for the time we had him.”

Then he asked me why I’m speaking in a whisper. You know it’s cause I was trying to hold back tears. I miss you so much. I wish you were alive. And I’m thankful for all the time we had, every minute of it.
